We’re 2 weeks into the new year, and if you made a resolution to get into shape in 2016, it’s a good time for a check-in.
How’s it going? Are you watching what you eat? Working out on a regular basis? Drinking plenty of water and getting enough sleep? These are the keys to taking control of your health this year, and trust me, I know it can be a challenge.
It’s especially difficult to stick to a work-out routine if you don’t have a friend to keep you motivated and work out with you. But guess what? If you have a dog, you’ve got an ever-ready work-out partner!
Even a dog whose nickname is The Lazy Pit Bull is usually up for a brisk walk or some yoga!
Now I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: I’m a whole lot more likely to work out if I can slip into some cute and comfy exercise clothes, and today I’m sharing some of my favorite work-out fashion ideas with you. Whether you’re into cross fit, yoga, or running (or walking!), you’ll find something on this list to help you get excited about getting into shape. Check it out!

So many super cute work-out fashion ideas, am I right? I love knowing that whatever the sport, there are so many cute, comfortable, and affordable fashion choices.
One piece of “work-out equipment” that I use every single day is my Fitbit. It helps me keep track of my daily steps, calories, water intake, and weight, and trust me, I’ve become a lot more aware of my activity – or lack thereof – since I started wearing the Fitbit a few months ago. I strongly recommend getting one if you’re serious about changing your health-related habits this year.
I’ve been pinning lots of really amazing articles, infographics, and helpful resources to my Active Dog Mom Pinterest board, which you can see below. Click directly on the image to get connected with me on Pinterest.
If you’re working hard to get into shape in 2016, we hope you’ll find some inspiration and motivation here on our blog. More than anything, we hope you’ll include your dog in your work-out routine because the activity will be good for both of you!
Do you work out with your dog? I’d love to hear all about it in a comment below!
Totally love running with Miss Cocoa. I always wanted a dog to run with and when we adopted Daisy that was one of the things I hoped she would love and she did. We had so many wonderful memories of runs and I still smile when I am out there with Cocoa. Cocoa is an excellent running partner and makes getting out there so much more fun!!
I’m glad you’ve got such a good running partner in Cocoa! It definitely making working out a lot more fun when you’ve got a willing partner! 🙂
Ma doesn’t run or anything but we do take walks sometimes at the walking track. She waits till she has the track to ourselves and allows me to run. Maybe some cute outfits will make her want to get out more.
Cute outfits are definitely a pick-me-up, Carma! 🙂
