I don’t know about the rest of you, but it sure seems like I do a lot of extra cleaning because I have pets.
There’s always muddy foot prints to be mopped up and dog hair on the furniture. From time to time there are “accidents” to be cleaned up, and I can’t count the number of times each week that I clean the windows in my home’s entry way – you know, the ones that my girls press their noses against as they watch the world go by.
And with all this cleaning I’m doing, one thought is always on my mind: are the products I’m using safe for my pets? And are they safe for the environment?
Yes, my freshly mopped floors look amazing, but are they really clean, and is the cleaner I’m using going to make my pets – or my family – sick?
How about you? Are your household cleaners safe for your pets? Do you even know for sure?
My friend Mary from Mary Organizes introduced me to Get Clean® products from Shaklee, including Basic H2 Organic Super Cleaning Concentrate. And let me tell you, this is one cleaner that does almost everything. It’s non-toxic, natural, and contains biodegradable surfactants. It removes dirt, grime, and yuck from any washable surface, and it’s safe for kids and pets. And the environment!
And here’s the thing that amazes me: 16 ounces of Basic H2 makes 48 gallons of safe, powerful, all-purpose cleaner! One bottle of Basic H2 equals the cleaning uses of 5,824 bottles of 26 oz. Windex®. Incredible, right?
This is your chance to get rid of those cleaners that are full of toxic chemicals that can harm your family, pets, and the environment, and replace them with products that are safe, powerful, and green. I love it!
In fact, I’m so happy with how Basic H2 works and the fact that it’s safe for my pets, that I want to share it with other pet lovers! Through the end of February, you can purchase your very own Get Clean® Starter Kit, which is chock full of great products that are good for your family, your pets, your home, and the environment – for only $99 – plus, you’ll get a FREE Shaklee lifetime membership and a FREE gift. I love FREE, don’t you?

Least favorite chore….washing dishes and cleaning the kitchen.
My least favorite-sweeping our hardwoods, followed by cleaning the bathroom.
I kind of like doing laundry (sorting, washing, folding).. but I HATE putting it away!
I cannot think of a single household chore that I like, but let’s go with cleaning the toilets just for fun. 🙂
I really dislike cleaning the bathroom.
Oops, forgot the “why” part. I think it’s just gross. The toilet in particular. Not so much the floors or sink.
When I got Lupus one of the things I learned was that many chronic illnesses and autoimmune disease can be aggravated or even caused by the chemicals in many household products. Since then I’ve tried to use only natural products, but it would be great to not have to make the products myself.
My least favorite chore is a tie between cleaning the bathtub and laundry. I hate scrubbing soap scum in the tub and I’m such a perfectionist that if the laundry isn’t folded a certain way, then put in color order, and placed in just the right way I get upset. Usually to avoid this problem I just ignore it haha.
I hope I win! I need pet safe products 🙂
Oops, my least favorite household chore is loading the dishwasher…it feels really repetitive and that drives me nuts!
BY FAR my most hated chore is putting away clean laundry or clean dishes. I don’t know why the dirty stuff doesn’t bother me as badly, but putting away the clean stuff I DREAD!
I had a bottle of H2 from the 70s until I finally used it all last year. Ok, I hate to clean but its not THAT bad. I kept what was left in the old bottle for nostalgia reasons. My Mom used to sell it when I was a kid. Cleaning? My least favorite thing is anything that is not a necessity like laundry, dishes, and cleanimg dog pee from the carpet 🙂
Sometimes my little man’s medicine upsets his stomach and he throws up a little during the night. I don’t always know or find it for a day or two. It’s not a fun job cleaning it up after it’s dried into the carpet
Least favorite chore is definitely washing dishes (doing laundry is a close second). I cook all the time so there is always an endless pile of dirty dishes.
I hate cleaning the bath tub. It just kills my back.
We can only pick one household chore? Hmmm… cleaning the backsplash in the kitchen. It’s so awkward to reach!
Thank you so much for sharing. I have been searching for better cleaning alternatives. I hate doing the dishes!
I’m always looking for cleaning products that are safe to use about my pets. These look great!
Washing Dishes! I hate standing in one place that long. We try to make as much of our food from scratch as we can, so there are always a ton of dishes to be done.
My least favorite is Laundry. I don’t like it because its seems never ending and its time consuming.
I have to be very careful about what cleaners I use for Nibblet. Rats have very sensitive respiratory systems, plus they are so little! Shiner’s a pretty messy dog too 😉 I’d say my least favorite chore might be washing the dishes!
We use very little in terms of cleaning products. Other than laundry detergent and dish soap I generally clean everything with vinegar.
I love the get clean kit products. I have three small girls and a cat. All girls love to help me clean and I feel safe letting them use these products
Least favorite chore would be putting away laundry. I dont mind washing, drying and folding tho.
My least favorite chore is folding laundry!
cleaning the bathroom
Laundry!
My least favorite chore is cleaning the refridgerator
My least favorite household chore is cleaning the bathroom 🙁
Cleaning the ferret room, for being so small they make a big mess!
I hate cleaning the bathroom. Any part of it.
My least favorite chore is vacuuming! I dislike vacuuming because it is hard to multitask while vacuuming, or watch a t.v. show, as you can with other cleaning methods.
Wow! This is quite the haul. I just placed an order for our household cleaners that are pet friendly – laundry detergent, floor cleaner, and stain remover. Awesome 🙂
My least favorite chore is cleaning after an “incident” by the kitty or doggie! It’s just not pleasant and you want to make sure everything is totally clean!
Cleaning the tub!! It just seems so daunting to me! I hate the cleaners I have to use to actually get it clean and the fumes they produce. I don’t like all the scrubbing. Plus, once I’m done it still seems like it’s never truly clean. Ugh!
My least favorite chore is mopping. I have a bad back which makes it difficult to mop the hardwood floors in my home.
Doing the dishes! It takes forever and dries out my hands
My least favorite household chore has to be cleaning the toilet.
i love to vacuum because it keeps the floors very clean and smelling better
Least favorite chore……..cleaning the cat box and cleaning the dog mess out of the yard!
I hate cleaning the bathroom
I’m not sure I particularly like any household chore, but I think my least favorite is vacuuming the furniture. Two long haired, high shedding dogs can make it quite the chore.
the cupboard doors above the stove

Mopping – I hate it. Unfortunately, it needs done a lot this time of year. I’m always on the search for pet friendly cleaners so I’m definitely going to give these a try!
