Most pet parents have developed their own way of communicating with their pets. The best way for us to understand them is through their body language.
From chasing their tails to biting at shadows, sometimes our pets can act a little kooky. You know by those big puppy dog eyes that they want a piece of the food you’re eating, and your furry friend can usually tell by the tone of your voice whether you’re praising or reprimanding them.
Many of the most important signals can be communicated through how they act towards us.
However, many dog owners forget one essential aspect of their pet’s communication: their sleep. When not running through imaginary fields deep in slumber, you pup’s position while sleeping can reveal a lot about their comfort and state of mind.
For instance, did you know that if your dog is sleeping curled up with her nose tucked in, she may be cold or anxious. If she sleeps on her paws, she may be tense.
On the other hand, sleeping on your chest means she loves and trusts you completely.
It’s important to pay attention to how your pet is acting so that you can give her all the care she needs and deserves. Check out this infographic below by Sleep Advisor for more insights into what your pet’s sleeping position says about them.
