We’re closing out National Pet Dental Health Month, but there are still a lot of people who don’t realize the importance of good dental hygiene for dogs and cats.
Did you know that only 1 in 3 pet owners provides proper dental care for his pets? That means there are a lot of pets out there that are suffering the effects of poor hygiene, and it could shorten their lifespans.
Take a look at the infographic below for some interesting statistics about pets and dental health, and think about your own pets. Are you doing all you can to provide proper care? If not, it’s never too late to start! I’ve known dogs that never had their first teeth cleaning until age 12.

I agree it’s super important to brush your pets teeth daily…..although I will also admit that I do not 🙁
I brush my packs teeth once a week at the very least though, an d they get their greenies and bones to help keep the tar tar at bay.
I need to start brushing them more though, I know.
Thanks for sharing this.

frum our pack at love is being owned by a husky.
I’m 1 of the 3, although I brush my dog Pierson’s teeth daily while Maya’s once a week. For a six year old dog, Maya has fantastic teeth. And I honestly never thought about brushing hers until I got Pierson, who is a notorious poop-eater.
