Today is the first official day of summer, and it’s a good time for a reminder: there’s never an excuse to leave your dog unattended in a hot car, even if it’s “just for a minute.” These are some great alternatives that will help keep your pet safe, healthy, and happy. The safest bet, though, is always to leave your pet at home where he’s cool, comfortable, and will happily greet you when you return.
Please use the sharing buttons at the bottom of this post to share it with your family and friends, to remind them of the dangers of leaving a pet (or person!) alone in a hot car. Will you help us prevent tragedy this summer by spreading the word right now?
Great SAFETY Reminder. It is so sad how many leave their pet(s) in the car … seconds/minutes makes a big difference. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
I’d have thought by now that EVERYBODY in the known world would have heard that a hot car can kill a pet or a CHILD. Nope. When I told a lady in a supermarket parking lot that it was dangerous AND illegal in California to leave a pet in a car – she told me to mind my own business! I said it was my business and it would be the business of the Orange County Sheriff if she left the dog in there. She got back in her car and drove off.
