CBD oil has gained a bad reputation in its mission to help dogs and dog parents, and these myths have gained a lot of attention in recent years.
Unfortunately, that’s not fair for CBD oil suppliers or dogs as it prevents suppliers from getting their product out there and dogs from getting the health benefits they deserve.
Well, that all stops here. Today we’re going to outline the three most popular myths and put an end to all of this “fake news”. Let’s just say, don’t listen to all the terrible things you hear about CBD oil, as most of it is probably not true.
3 Myths About CBD Oil for Dogs
Myth #1: CBD oil contains THC
THC (also known as tetrahydrocannabinol) is not present in CBD oil. What you will find is CBD (also known as cannabinoid oil) and while it is true that both CBD and THC are derived initially from cannabis and hemp, it is not true that both elements are used to create the solution known as CBD oil.
CBD contains anti-inflammatory properties, among its other benefits, while THC contains psychoactive properties that can produce that “high” effect.
When suppliers are trying to help your pets using their carefully created recipes, they do not add THC to the mix. To prove this, most reputable websites present their certificates online or through information packets. These certificates and packets will show proof that THC is not found in their CBD oil.
Myth #2: CBD oil will get your dog “high”
CBD oil is not a hallucinogenic, nor is it psychoactive, although THC is both hallucinogenic and psychoactive. When creating formulas for CBD oil, suppliers do not incorporate THC into the mix, as stated above. For this reason, your dog will not get high; it’s impossible.
Myth #3: CBD oil is illegal
CBD oil is continuously confused with marijuana; in other words, many people seem to think CBD oil is marijuana, and in certain parts of the world, marijuana is illegal.
However, this is not the case with CBD oil. In fact, CBD oil is legal in all 50 states and in other areas of the world, too. Because the recipes do not contain the element known as THC, there’s no reason for it to be illegal.
Now that you know CBD oil does not contain THC, it will not get your dog high, and it is 100% legal in the USA and many other areas, you’re on the right path to using these products to help your dog fight whatever issues he or she is facing. It may be helpful for conditions like anxiety, allergies, mobility, and pain and inflammation.
Keep in mind, if you have questions about using CBD products with your dog, you should contact your veterinarian.
As you are looking for new and different ways to care for your pets, don’t believe all those myths on the internet and in the world regarding CBD oil.
