This handsome fella is Blizzard. My sister Cindy, her husband Robert, and my 11 year old niece Lindsey adopted Blizzard, then called Thor, from the Humane Society for Hamilton County (Noblesville, IN) last year.
Blizzard was a cruelty case, having been found abandoned and alone in a deserted apartment where it’s believed he’d been left for more than a week without food or water. We’re told he wouldn’t have lasted another day, but thankfully he was found, and he’s made an amazing recovery. In fact, he and Lindsey recently took second place in the Dog Obedience program of Lindsey’s 4-H Club! Not bad for a dog someone once discarded like trash, huh?
It’s Sunday, so I’m linking up with the wonderful Dachshund Nola, You Did What With Your Wiener, and My Life In Blog Years for Black & White Sunday. If you’d like to join us, you can link up on any of their blogs!
Have a wonderful week!
Blizzard is STUNNING and looks amazing in B&W. I cannot believe some vile individual left him in an apt like that. So happy he found a wonderful family who will take good care of him.
Very pretty, glad he is in a better place now. 🙂
He is gorgeous!! Looks a like an Eskie….sounds like your niece is going to have such a wonderful time with him… you know agility always needs new junior handlers 🙂
Blizzard is beautiful and I’m so glad he not only found a forever home but an important job too. What a warm story for a warm photo!
What an absolutely heart-warming story. I love that he was saved, adopted and won in obedience. Just goes to show you that a dog given love and a second chance can become the most amazing miracle. Congrats to your sister and her family for finding such a lovely dog and giving him that 2nd chance. Love the photo!
Blizzard is so handsome, and I am so happy to hear that his story has a happy ending . . . or, rather, a happy new beginning. Congratulations to Blizzard and Lindsey for their 4-H Club obedience success!
Hi Blizzard. I’m Ruckus! Are you and Eskie like me?
Yes Ruckus! He’s an American Eskimo! You two look so much alike! 🙂
