There are many factors for dog moms to consider when we’re in the market for a new car. Among them is whether the vehicle is suitable for our dogs, so we can safely take them to the groomer or vet, to the dog park, and traveling with us. Discover my opinion of the 4 best vehicles for dog mom ahead.
The 4 Best Vehicles for Dog Moms
1. Jeep Wrangler
The Jeep Wrangler is best known for its military background and off-roading use, but this is also a great vehicle for dogs.
With a four-door Jeep Wrangler, there’s plenty of room for your dog. Another bonus to having a Jeep is that you can take the top off, so you and your dog can enjoy the fresh air and sunshine of summertime.
Plus, Jeeps are incredibly customizable, so you can make neat additions that express your love for your dog, such as a pet barrier net, paw-covered taillights, and so much more.
I currently own my third Jeep, having driven a Cherokee Sport, a Liberty, and now a Commander. Personally, I feel that no matter which Jeep model you choose, you’ll be happy with it for your dog-friendly lifestyle.
2. Chrysler Pacifica
Another great vehicle for your dog that falls in the Chrysler family is the Pacifica. The Chrysler Pacifica is a minivan that goes far beyond soccer mom duties. The Pacifica makes for an excellent vehicle to transport your dog as well, with Stow N’ Go seating that can fold down if you need the extra space for a bigger dog.
A Pacifica also has ample storage room for your dog’s stuff as well. You can also add a rear or side ramp to make it even easier for your dog to get into your vehicle.
3. Kia Soul
The Kia Soul might be best known for those commercials with the hamsters, but they are great for other animals, too. This is another vehicle that is easy for dogs to get into, thanks to how low to the ground it is.
With its boxy shape, the Kia Soul has more than enough room for your dog to lounge, especially when the seats fold forward to expand your trunk.
4. BMW X2
The BMW X2 also makes the list of the best vehicles for dog lovers. Not only does a BMW X2 have a sporty look, but the vehicle is also very dog-friendly.
A key benefit of getting a BMW X2 to transport your dog is that it has leather seats, so it’s far easier to clean up a potential mess your dog makes, although I want to remind you to keep your dog’s nails neatly trimmed to avoid tearing the leather.
Like the previous vehicles mentioned, the X2 also has the capability to expand the trunk as well. A BMW X2 is a great option for those who are looking to get a car that’s great for their dog, but don’t want to invest in a big truck either.
As you can see, any of these vehicles have the potential to become your top choice for fun and reliable transportation with your dog.
