It’s hard to believe that our sweet Georgie Mae joined our family one year ago today. It’s true what they say: time really does fly when you’re having fun, and we’ve had so much fun with our sweet girl over the last year. Happy Gotcha Day, baby girl!
Because of crazy work and travel schedules, TLPB Dad and I are planning to celebrate Georgie’s Gotcha Day next week on Valentine’s Day, February 14th. I’m planning a special day for the 3 of us, and I thought I’d share a few of my ideas with you. If you’re wondering how to plan a fun Valentine’s Day with your dog, keep reading!
3 Ways to Celebrate Valentine’s Day With Your Dog
1. Whip up a batch of cranberry cookies for dogs
Valentine’s Day means lots of sweet treats for people, but our dogs don’t have to be left out of the celebration. These heart shaped cranberry cookies for dogs include only 5 wholesome ingredients, and they’re super easy to make. Trust me, your dog will love them.
2. Give your mutt a gift
Giving your dog a gift for Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be expensive. In fact, every item on the list below is under $17!
Fun stuff, right? And this is just the tip of the iceberg! There are so many fun, educational, and stimulating toys for pets, and there’s no better time than Valentine’s Day to give a gift to show how much you love your mutt.
3. Tune into Finding Fido on Z Living
Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to tune into Z Living’s Finding Fido. This feel-good show is all about matchmaking — only instead of human couples, host Seth Casteel is pairing people with pooches.
On the February 14th episode, we’ll meet Chris and Kali Pleasant, who are looking for a small dog as a companion for their young daughter, Brooklyn. They’re a super active family, so they want a dog that can keep up with their fast-paced city lifestyle.
Blackjack, pictured above, is just one of the dogs the Pleasant family will meet on the Valentine’s Day episode. Will he be a perfect fit for their family? You’ll have to tune in at 9pm EST to find out!
How will you be spending Valentine’s Day with your dog? We’d love to hear your ideas, so please leave a comment below!
