This simple recipe includes just 3 ingredients, and I’ll bet you’ve already got them in your kitchen:
- 1 ½ cups of epsom salt
- 1 tablespoon of colorful sugar sprinkles
- 7-10 drops of your favorite essential oil of your choice (lavender is ideal)
Epsom salts help with aches and sore muscles, while the essential oil (if you use lavender) can help relax, ease tension, relieve headache, and even help promote healthy sleep.
I like to put my bath salts in a cute 8 ounce Mason jar when I give it as a gift. It’s really cute, and any dog mom would be proud to display this in her bathroom. Get the super simple recipe below.
- 1 ½ cups of epsom salt
- 1 tablespoon of colorful sugar sprinkles
- 7-10 drops of essential oil
- Mix the epsom salt and essential oils in a medium size bowl. Mix well until all of the ingredients are well blended.
- You can now add the sugar sprinkles. Adding them now prevent them from being saturated with the essential oil which can cause the colors to leak.
- Pour the bath salts into an airtight jar. This will help keep it fresh and help preserve the oils in the mixture.
- To use the bath salts just empty the contents into a bath of warm, running water and enjoy!
- These bath salts can be stored for several months and will still stay fresh as long as you keep air out and store in a cool and dry place.
